The journey continues with the official announcement of the Top 50 Short Films Followed by the Top 21, recognising some of the most compelling and visionary short films The Top 10 Short Films will be showcased at the DPIFF Short Film Screening Gala, on the Opening Night of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2026 These Top 10 films will be evaluated by 10 Consulate Generals from different countries in India, bringing a global perspective. Awards & Recognition The Best Short Film will be honoured on the DPIFF Grand Ceremony stage with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. Additional recognitions include: 1st Runner- Up: ₹15,000 2nd Runner- Up: ₹10,000 3rd Runner- Up: ₹5,000 All winners will receive a trophy and official recognition for their outstanding contribution to cinema.
